Holy Ghost
03:15
|
|||
Children gather around
Listen up now, the story is true
You’re name, it don’t mean a thing
About where you’ve been
Or what you have seen
A river runs under your feet
Get down on your knees
It will wash you clean
Holy Ghost
He knows my name
I hear you crying at night
I sing along as you weep until dawn
The sun starts to rise
It will dry off your eyes
As you step toward the light
The air that you breathe in the light
Will surely sustain you from day until night
Holy Ghost
He knows my name
I throw my hands into the air
I sing in tongues and nobody cares
I dance for hours then collapse at my knees
That’s the Holy Ghost
He knows my name
So People gather around
And listen up now
The story is true

I'm Feeling Just Fine
04:25
|
|||
I set out one morning to follow my breath
The sun was still rising inside of my chest
My bike tires low on air, my head feeling light
I am ridin’, I am flyin’, I am feeling just fine
But when I had arrived at the end of the road
And I had to decide where next I would go
I fell to the ground and said “God where am I at?”
I am nowhere, I am no one, I aint ever goin’ back
You see there’s plenty of pills in my medicine box
And I could have my pick from the entire lot
But I refuse to lean on a crutch or a cane
I am walking, I am running, I won’t ever be the same
Hopefully
I turn on my TV and I shed a tear
You simply can’t believe all the things that you hear
When everyone is trapped in their American mind
All your knowledge is just rubbish if you haven’t got a spine
And all the smiles on the faces of the people I see
I cannot decipher if they’re smiling at me
Or if they are just hiding all their judgment and shame
I am laughing, I am crying, Because I’m just as much to blame
Tell me can’t you hear all the traffic in the street
All the people on their way to buy whatever they please
Just throw money at the problem and pray that it sticks
It may be easy, may look shiny, but that doesn’t mean that it’s fixed
Not at all
The past is a soldier who falls to his knees
The past is the changing color in the leaves
the past is a promise that never was fulfilled
Maybe forgiven or forgotten, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t real
The present is a schoolgirl whispering lies
The present is a mansion collapsed by the tide
The present is a memory just waiting to be had
But you must move you must look forward
We won’t ever get it back
The future is just pages waiting to be a book
The future is a camera full of pictures to be took
The future is a chariot, white horses and fire
We are waiting, we are wanting, we are full of desire
We are waiting, we are wanting, we are full of desire
We are waiting, we are wanting, we are full of desire
Some of us

Somewhere To Call Home
04:44
|
|||
At only 13 he figured it out
But no one would hear him talk
Home alone with that poisonous thought
No one would hear him talk
His father, he wept. His mother, she cried
The whole town put on a parade
No one had pictured things happening this way
Well "He was just depressed"
They would say
Now is the time to get it right
Now is the time to wake up
We'll never get no where if we stay in one place
Say "Hello" to the human race.
At only 18 she figured it out
It was easy and pleasurable too
But money and fame could never replace
The family who would abandon her soon
Her father, he wept. Her mother, she screamed
Her brother was heartbroken too
Curled in a ball, in her bed soaked with tears
She could never repay what she's due
Now is the time to get it right
Now is the time to wake up
We'll never get no where if we stay in one place
Say "Hello" to the human race.
Lean on me and I'll lean on you
Because I can't get by on my own
Open your arms and to them I'll run
My heart needs somewhere to call home

Harder To Breathe
03:24
|
|||
When I leave here I will still go home
Don't have to say it because I already know
Left a note on the counter
I'll be there in an hour if you're alone
Don't stand up too quick or you'll lose your head
Just take a deep breath close your eyes and count to ten
Don't jump off from that ledge man
No one wants to have to clean that mess
Everyone's got problems, Everyone has needs
Don't matter your name, I know you're heart still bleeds
If you're breathing you're getting older
If you're leaving you're getting closer to where you should be
You can't deny that I have tried my best
You don't need to say, I think I can figure out the rest
You fold your hands and pray to God
Hope no strangers looking on will think you're odd
I won't say we're even, no you've clearly won
You deserve much more than i could begin to let on
Put the trophy on the mantle, Light some candles
Quoting scripture all night long
Everyone wants answers, Everyone wants more
Don't matter your age, there is something you're waiting for
If you're breathing you're getting older
If you're leaving you're getting closer
If you're trying you're getting smarter
If you're living it's getting harder to breathe

What You'll Do
01:28
|
|||
Don't you know they're gonna find you
Don't you know they'll find the truth
Don't you know they're gonna find you
You better pray that they never do
I've been looking for some company
The journey's long and bitter cold
You're not human if you're not struggling
You're not human without a soul
I've been looking for an answer
I've been looking for the light
I spend my days waiting for night to come
And when it comes then I sleep just fine
If I was smart I'd turn and run away
I'd flee just like my enemies
But it's exactly what has made them flee
That keeps on attracting me
So go ahead and find me
I'll tell you all the truth
So go ahead and find me
In fact I pray that that's what you'll do

Take It All
04:27
|
|||
I thought I told you never again,
I thought I told you but you never listen,
So I cried on my knees for forty days and nights,
You kept on promising that you'd make things right,
But nothing has changed,
I'm not sure you even know my name
I thought I told you don't ever go there,
I know I told you you just didn't care,
So I kept on crying just pacing the floor,
You kept on shouting "Come On, I Want More",
But I gave my all,
And I won't be the one to take the fall,
No you can take it all
I thought I told you never again,
I thought I told you don't ever go there,
But you never listen and you never care,
That's the only reason I've been ripping out my hair,
because I gave my all,
I am still the one to take the fall,
Oh No I'll take it all

Outlaw - In The Ring
02:38
|
|||
The boxer in the ring he keeps on swinging 'til he bleeds
Once he's bleeding he keeps swinging until he's down
For the count and bleeding out
In shock and awe the audience applauds and his lover has to fight through the crowd
She knows that he's the champ when he shows 'em he can dance
Fighting every single Friday night at nine
He may die but he will go out strong
He may die but he will prove them wrong
He may die and he won't quit until he does
He may die but he's done the best he ever could
His manager is still upset wondering why nobody would place any bets
A shot to the chest steals the swagger from his step
Nobody's betting 'cause they all know who will win
His mother will cry with his father at her side
As they stare into the TV screen
Their baby boy making money from blood
He may die but he's done the best he ever could
He may die but he will go out strong
He may die but he will prove them wrong
He may die and he won't quit until he does
He may die but he's done the best he ever could

Outlaw - Enough
03:36
|
|||
Don't you worry, I've been far from here
Planned on a couple months, but stayed for several years
And I would come back to you but I'm too scared to now
You always spoke the truth, I never knew quite how
But I found Love
I found Enough
Oh dear friends I don't expect you to understand
I never told you much, You always had the upper-hand
And it is far too late for us to try and make amends
We cannot sever ties, we are but fearful men
Has it taken us this long to find we've just stuck in reverse
I tried to pull it out, it seems I made things so much worse
But I found Love
I found Enough
I know I've spent more time out here
Than I ever spent with you in all these years
I cannot apologize for all the times I hung you out to dry
But I found Love
I found Enough
